pit firing

a few pictures from the pit firing of green ware that we did this past sunday. sawdust, small sticks and newspaper which is started by a hot teepee fire on top which burned for about an hour to make some hot coals. then everything is covered with a piece of metal roofing with dirt on top of that for insulation. it burned overnight. grandfather fire gave us successfully fired clay pieces, no breakage. wow!

humans waking up to what is most loving has the potential to make a big difference in the way this earth transition comes about. forgiveness, love, peace, harmony to earth and all beings.

peeking into the kiln at the new owls

so many pieces in the kiln that it's taken 15 hours to cool enough to get a peek. still not cool enough to open and take things out yet..... but they look great!
