Just back from an INSPIRING workshop with Paul Wandless www.studio3artcompany.com

....this is a still wet sample of a monoprint with underglaze on a white slab (but grey while wet). the black lines are drawn first with a slip trailer. then layers of colors are painted or printed on. 

the thing that is so different is that the colors really don't move around much as they are brushed on, in other words they don't blend but because they are translucent they layer. a very nice feeling to this process which i want to explore. when this piece is dry i'll fire it and post the results.
